Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, James1:2
How can you do that except by faith? Faith is seeing and acting toward everything and everyone as it already exists this very moment outside of time in heaven. We are seated in heavenly realms… right now… this very moment… outside of time. We are already enjoying the full inheritance. Faith is not limited by logic but is activated by belief.
And every person is included in this finished inheritance cause it says in Revelation that some people will have their name blotted out of the book of life. That means that every person’s name is written there from the beginning. But…
The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels. Revelation 3:5
The whole inheritance is for every one. That means we all have access. Will you lay hold of what Christ has paid for?
How many people have a destiny as a gold medalist who never go after it? Probably, there are some even more capable than those who have received a gold medal, of attaining it, who will never even try, never believe they could. God has won the whole inheritance for every person. But we know that some will not claim it.
One of the things I hear people say about their obstacles and challenges is that God is in control. They think that is faith but it is not actually scriptural.
Yes, God will close the curtain at the end of our day of rest
Therefore since it still remains for some to enter that rest, and since those who formerly had the good news proclaimed to them did not go in because of their disobedience,
But for today Jesus says to,
…9“Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10‘Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.
Why would we need to pray for God’s will to be done unless it was necessary? And why would we be taught to pray for God’s kingdom as it exists in heaven to come to earth unless it was possible?
Most of us live a tiny sliver of what is actually available to us. Think about how little of our brain we actually use. That is a good picture of how much of the reality of heaven, that we are meant to live in our experience on earth, is not realized.
We are seated right now in heavenly places. We are meant to bring that reality into our earthly experience.
Without faith it is impossible to please God Hebrews 11:6
“But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.”
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1
Faith is not just believing we will experience the full inheritance in heaven. Faith is activating heaven now.
Hebrews Hall of Fame says, …who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised Hebrews 11:33
and vs34 …whose weakness was turned to strength
We have a part in applying faith to see heaven active on earth
Romans 4:17 says, “He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed–the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.”
That is what we are told to do in Joel 3:10 says, “let the weak say, I am strong.”
That is calling yourself something that you actually aren’t yet!
The bottom line for me are 2 verses that unshakably root me in who God is,
I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, I make all things new. Revelations 21:5,6
7 Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end
There is a constant flow of propaganda in our human experience presenting evidence for the case that the power for the increase of evil in the world is far greater than God’s power for good.
I choose to open my eyes to the ever increasing evidence of the release of the kingdom of heaven on earth and hold immovably to the belief that God’s power for good is exponentially far greater than any power for bad.
The bible is full of promises God has made for those who believe. And I find that whatever promises of God I lay hold of I have.
2Corinthians 1: 19For the Son of God, Christ Jesus, who was preached among you by us– by me and Silvanus and Timothy– was not yes and no, but is yes in Him. 20For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.
All God’s promises are yes and amen in Christ Jesus.
Scripture does not support the idea that God is looking for those who will place limits on what we will believe Him for.
2Chronicles 16:9 says, For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.
God is looking to support the ones who hold onto belief that He is for us.
When the heaviest battle is falling on me from every side, it is then that there is no one else but God’s presence before me.
Everything that piles up on me just brings me into the center of his enveloping protection.
In that moment, I know nothing but the love of Christ and the truth of his faithfulness. I cannot not be moved because I will accept no option other than the belief that God has a wonder already finished in my circumstance outside of time and it will be realized.
When I can’t even open my eyes because of the overwhelming evidence of defeat in my experience, I am caught in a lightening embrace of God’s powerful presence. I may be at the point of tears, yet I know that my victory in him is secure. I will never be persuaded to let go of his finished work cause I trust Him.
I can never forget that God is my hearts completion and that I will never be separated from all he has promised. Jesus really does give life and life in abundance just as it says he came to do in John 10:10
And the propaganda of my earthly experience will never separate me from the reality of heaven. Love has consumed me and I will never be alone.
That is how I see it and the fruit I’ve experienced from this walk of faith is that heaven does overtake my earthly experience over and over again, transforming every obstacle I encounter into the good God has available for me. His kingdom is most definitely increasing continually.
All God’s promises are yes and amen in Christ Jesus 🙂
Take your burdens to the Lord and ask for one or two or three or more of his promises to hold onto and see the Lord work a wonder in your life! As you refuse to let go of them and just like your dad in heaven, call things that are not as though they were, you’ll see the power of God bringing heaven into your life. That is faith and it is impossible not to please God when you activate it 🙂
